Safeguard Your Contractor's Equipment

Provide a Comprehensive List:

A great Contractor's Equipment list should include not only a description (including year, make, model and serial number) as well as value, but also the date purchased purchase price and the cost to replace.

Replacement Cost:

Equipment that is 5-years old or less can be covered for full replacement (no depreciation) for little to no additional premium, but you must ask for the coverage.

Leased and Rented Equipment:

Equipment leased or rented from others is only covered for $25,000 or less, so you need to review the types of equipment you rent and how often with our agency. Covering this through your insurance program is MUCH CHEAPER than letting the rental company cover it for you. We can also pay for the loss of use of the rental equipment when you are legally liable for it.

Rental Reimbursement:

Rental reimbursement of equipment can be covered, up to a daily limit and a maximum amount of coverage. Typical coverage is $500 a day up to a $5,000 limit to pay your expenses to rent replacement equipment when yours has been damaged by a covered loss. However, this coverage can be increased to meet your specific needs. A minimum 24-hour waiting period applies.

Newly Purchased Equipment:

Newly purchased equipment can be insured for up to 60 days, with a limit equal to 30% of your total schedule equipment or $25,000, whichever is greater. Longer time periods and limits can be negotiated depending on your needs.
